PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

FRS, a 100-year old Rochester based family business found themselves rapidly growing and in need of a new headquarters building. Various larger greenfield sites were available elsewhere in Metro Detroit, but the Owner’s commitment to Rochester with its walkable community, historic downtown and vibrant community led them to the legacy of the historic site they had committed to more than 20 years earlier and made it the obvious place for FRS to build. FRS stayed true to their roots, they embraced responsible stewardship of limited resources and continued their dedication to the community by developing this site. The building is grounded with stone veneer screen walls that hide the under building parking with the first floor hovering just above. The pressure equalized rain screen system uses earth tone metal panels and synthetic wood that bend and tilt their way around the façade contrasting the stable stone screen wall below.
